The Power Pup Downloader is a programmer/tuner that downloads horsepower and performance enhancing programs into 2001-2007 GM Duramax with either a 6.6L (LB7, LLY, LBZ, or LMM) diesel engine in one SKU (stock keeping unit). The downloader offers up to three different Engine Tunes above stock to accomodate various driving conditions; read below for recommended use.

• Stock
Choosing the Stock engine tune will result in no change to engine horsepower output. All other downloader features can still be accessed if the Stock engine tune is chosen.
• Tow
This engine tune is recommended for use while towing, it is a mild tune that increases performance by 40 to 50 horsepower. This is the only tune that we recommend you tow with other than stock.
• Performance
This engine tune will yield up to 75 extra horsepower. Pyrometer and boost gauges are highly recommended while using this tune.
• Extreme
This engine tune will yield up to 120 extra horsepower. Pyrometer and boost gauges are highly recommended while using this tune. This tune is not available for the ‘07 LMM motor.

Power Pup Downloader Features

Speed Limiter (‘02-’07 only)
The stock OEM speed limiter will limit the vehicle to a top speed that is determined by the OEM. The Power Pup speed limiter function allows the user to adjust the vehicles top speed from 50 mph to 135 mph in increments of 5 mph on the ‘02-’07 LB7, LLY, and LBZ . On the LMM the Power Pup will adjust the speedometer from 95 mph down to 50, but will completely disable the speed limiter if you adjust it above 95 mph. The OEM speed limiter will be displayed on the Power Pup screen when the user opts to change their speed limiter. The vehicle speed limiter should only be adjusted upward for racing purposes and should never be used on a public road or highway.

Calibrate OEM Speedometers (‘02-’07 only)
Program in the vehicle’s exact tire diameter to adjust the OEM speedometer so that it will correctly display vehicle speeds. The Power Pup can adjust for tires ranging from 25” up to 45”. (Calibrating for any tire size over 35” may cause the in dash ABS light to turn on)

Diagnostic Trouble Codes
The Power Pup can read and erase diagnostic trouble codes, codes should be checked periodically and whenever a warning light appears on the vehicle dash. Visit www.bullydog.com/DTC.php for trouble code meaning and interpretation. The trouble codes that are commonly seen on vehicles are described on the Power Pup screen, so it is not neccessary for the end user to refer to the website.

How To:

• Install the Power Pup:
The Power Pup plugs into the OBDII port beneath your steering column for programming.

• Transfer to a new vehicle:
Return current vehicle to stock, update the downloader online and check for new vehicle compatibility, and then install on new vehicle.

• Update Online:
Internet updates are made available when new calibrations are developed and when new vehicle applications become available. Internet updates are available through Bully Dogs download center located on their website. The vehicle must be downloaded back to stock before the downloader can be updated.
